Our History

The Department Cricket Development Committee of Uttarakhand (DCDCU) was established with a visionary goal: to bring the spirit and discipline of cricket to the government and semi-government employees of Uttarakhand. Founded in response to the growing need for physical fitness and teamwork in the workplace, the DCDCU has been a driving force in promoting cricket as a means to enhance overall well-being and job performance among employees.

Our journey began with the simple yet profound idea of using cricket to foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness. Over the years, we have grown from organizing small inter-departmental matches to hosting large-scale tournaments, including the Department Premier League and the State Championship. These events have not only provided a platform for employees to showcase their cricketing skills but have also become a symbol of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

From our inception, we have remained steadfast in our mission to identify and nurture cricketing talent among government employees. Through our development programs, we have provided numerous opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and compete at higher levels.
